Default Getting a new 3G iPhone?

Curious if I'm one of the few or perhaps the many that will be sticking to their original iPhone for now.

Other than the cost factor of buying something new, any other reason?

Little or no 3G in my area let alone good 2.5G! Keeping mine for now and maybe I'll just get Apple Care for it instead. Hopefully next year when my contract expires I wonder if I could go with Verizon if it's going to be available.
